The International Conference on Creationism is likely the world's foremost technical forum for presentation and exchange of ideas and research for understanding of God's Word and God's world (and universe) as a seamless (non-contradictory) witness of God's revelation of Himself to mankind. Presented papers are available on CD. Just a few among the many highlights of the 2013 conference were:
(1) explanation that the supposed 95%+ similarity of human and chimpanzee genomes is more like 80% or less. The chimp is not yo mama, not even a distant cousin;
(2) Yes! The earth's magnetic field (and corresponding protective shield against powerful cosmic rays) continues to decline by about half every 1500 years; and, NO! There is no defensible geophysical explanation that could provide a "dynamo" mechanism to rebuild the earth's magnetic field by itself .... so implication is the earth's magnetic field is less than 10,000 years old. If the magnetic field is less than 10,000 years old, then .... maybe the earth is also less than 10K? And not from the conference I whisper here now that the rate of decrease has heightened dramatically in the last few years. Maybe the book of The Revelation and the earth's magnetic field shield are on synchronized clocks.
(3) the "common ancestor of all living things" idea of evolutionists continues to fail, but few people are admitting it. The "reproduce after their kind" idea always looked good because it was in the Bible, but now is also looking better year-by-year per observational science. Especially memorable for me on this topic came when Dr. Paul Nelson cited French microbiologist Didier Raoult, "analysis of bacterial genomes shows that between 10 and 15% of the genes of each species has no equivalent in other species and are likely due to ‘gene creativity." Gene creativity! Indeed. They published suggesting that genes are "creative" yet the journal would not likely permit any hint that an Almighty God might create.
Thanks to Reid Moon for preparing this video for our Los Angeles conference in May 2015. As a side note, Pepperdine University declined a suggestion that Reid would be the ideal person to assist Pepperdine to gather a group of highly-credentialed scientists for a Yes-Genesis-and-True-Science-Agree lecture series for the 2015 Bible Lectures. I regret such an opportunity was missed. Here is Reid's 10-minute recap of the ICC:

"GREATEST DISCOVERY IN THE HISTORY OF PALEONTOLOGY" ---- For sure, it's time to tell everyone (theologians included) that dinosaur soft tissues abound and tell a very important story.
Dinosaur soft tissue (original tissue fossils) abound around the world with sequenced proteins and identified DNA chemistry. Actual science (as in physical chemistry) says these identifiable proteins, DNA chemistry (and also carbon-14 and predominance of left-handed amino acids) in fossil tissues proclaim recent burial (as in the Bible Flood of Noah). Denver's Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart talks about "The greatest discovery in the history of paleontology." Those red-meat looking blobs in the images are not pork chops at the meat market ... those are from a T-Rex thighbone. Like, who would have thought - right? Well, Bible-reading theologians would have thought ... you would think. But for such a great discovery, neither people in the street nor students in the seminary are being told the implications. Bob uses "people-speak" as well as "tech-speak" in speaking to "the street" and to reticent theologians at True Science for Theologians TSFT May 2015 conference in Malibu, California. Rabid evolutionists are silenced, creationists say (as usual) "I told you so," and it becomes much more explicable why famed paleontologist Jack Horner once remarked, "Oh, yeah, all Hell Creek bones smell.": 49 minutes |
YES- ORIGINAL TISSUE FOSSILS ALL AROUND THE WORLD. Brian Thomas of the Institute for Creation Research provided the following map of original tissue fossil reports globally as of fall 2014. The map is changing rapidly as researchers across the globe now realize the evolutionary dogma about "old" fossils was a monumental historical failure in science (as with vestigial organs and "junk DNA"). Now folks are finally looking for stuff the old ideology said would never be there. They should have started with the Bible after all.
IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS YOU WILL BELIEVE GENESIS
"Have you not read?" is the "Jesus Hermeneutic" In the beginning God made Adam and Eve just like the Bible says. Yes, Jesus affirmed that when He scolded the Jewish religious leaders of HIs time for their lack of understanding or faith in the Holy Scripture. Some modern theologians dismiss or diminish the words of Genesis - thus at the same time dismissing or diminishing the Jesus of the Bible. Also, numerous modern scientific discoveries demonstrate that the "deep time" narrative (millions and millions of years) is not evidentially viable. TSFT15

Research by the Barna Group has been widely and mistakenly taken to mean that young people going off to college are losing faith at an alarming rate because they are unenlightened and have not yet learned that they can bend the Bible to match the "current scientific consensus" of evolution in explaining the phenomenon of life. High school senior Jake Doberenz presents another perspective - that the Bible and true science agree just fine, thank you. And his investigation into evidential principles in both science and faith has strengthened both his faith and his understanding of science. Jake provided this ten-minute clip for the TSFT May 2015 conference to encourage young and old alike. Jake plans to attend Oklahoma Christian University in fall 2015 and is now preparing for the evolutionary teachings he expects to encounter there - and prepares also to strengthen fellow students as well. Here is a real self-starter.
Now, about those walking whales - a cute idea if you like deceiving small children to get them to believe evolution and reject God. Otherwise, it is a very very ugly story. It seems that every "scientist" in the world was accepting the walking whale narrative by the second decade of the 21st century. It was, however, a tale seemingly spun in darkness and not to be repeated under the bright lights of critical thinking. But evolutionist-become-creationist Dr. Carl Werner as early as 2007 published very worrisome details about things that simply did not add up. The walking whale tale produced by Drs. Phil Gingerich of the University of Michigan and his former student Dr. Hans Thewissen (who called whale evolution "the Rosetta Stone of evolution") simply had too many fossil things produced out of thin but wishful air and thenceforth appearing fortuitously in desired places. By April 2014 Dr. Werner went public with a press release outing the skulduggerous shenanigans. An April 2014 publication of an updated version of Dr. Werner's Evolution: The Grand Experiment Volume 1 (2014 edition) has details (and his video has yet more) If you wish to share them with your classes from kindergarden to PhD history of science.
So we understand how some folks can get carried away with after-hours artistic license over in the science building when evolution is at the hard unassailable core of their world view. When you already know the "truth", where is the harm in a bit of fudge to expedite enlightenment of the unwashed masses?
But what about the Christian and Jewish theologians who have the Holy Bible as the Creator's revelation of the Creation? Why so easily deceived? Is the absence of critical thinking in vogue today, even when you have the Bible for a head start on truth? And at Pepperdine University - or Fuller Seminary or at BioLogos or wherever ... will there be an effort to make well the harm propagated by the individuals and the institutions defrauded and thenceforth defrauding? But, oh, wait. Maybe it really wasn't fraud. About the quiet disappearance of the phony drawings and models under cover of darkness and agreed-upon hush from famous museums and journals and media around the world - maybe just a coincidence that they all hit their expiration date not long after Dr. Werner's press release. Nevertheless, firm clear correction is needed.
And you readers out there, do you know of any major museum or university who had the overly-creative models and drawings but removed them with a clear honorable public explanation, or corrected erroneous classroom teaching? We will try to verify and post such information so we can get an idea who the good guys are. I (VB) am hoping the folks at my alma mater Pepperdine University will rush to the top of the list.
Furthermore, it seems a number of Christian theologians need to add some creationist literature or creationist videos to their regular diet of information. We will try to get a recommended list soon. Meantime, Clint Loveness has a good resource at: http://www.provethebible.com/
DECAY PHENOMENA IN NATURE SHOW THERE WAS A BEGINNING AND TELL US ABOUT WHEN - AND THEY AGREE WITH THE BIBLE RECORD IN GENESIS. A "half-life" is the amount of time needed for a decaying quantity to diminish by half.
(1) The magnetic field of the earth appears to be dissipating with a half-life of about 1600 years, suggesting the earth is not likely more than ten thousand years old. Suggested "dynamo" processes to self-generate the magnetic field have been found lacking (Humphries 2011, 2013). (2) Radiogenic carbon (C-14) decays into nitrogen-14 with a half-life of 5730 years. Diamonds, coal, and fossils buried in flood deposits have measurable concentrations, telling us that burial occurred less than 100,000 years ago - which agrees with the Bible story of the Flood of Noah. (3) The human genome is accumulating mutations at a rate producing significant loss in ability to have offspring - by some estimates around 1-2 % per generation. Such a rapid loss of "fitness" argues strongly against the evolutionary idea of deep time in millions of years. Fitness reduction of 8-23% in an estimated 150 generations since the Bible Flood of Noah agrees with this assessment.
CAUSATION, INFERENCE, and
STEPHEN HAWKING'S PITIFUL PREPARATION TO MEET HIS MAKER
The principles of causation and inference always ultimately lead us back to the First Cause - the God YHWH of the Bible. This is true in both material and non-material domains. Stephen Hawking erred tragically when he declared God is not necessary. Excerpt from talk by Vern Bissell, True Science for Theologians, May 2015. WILL FIFTH-GRADERS AROUND THE WORLD SUE PROFESSOR RICHARD DAWKINS FOR PLAGIARISM?
It is no secret that Professor Richard Dawkins says a lot of very terrible stuff about God. Well, here is just a mild observation about the man who seems to claim knowledge about everything - that it all came from nothing (and life maybe from outer space as he admitted in the Ben Stein film Expelled). Is the time ripe for fifth-graders around the world to sue for a piece of the book royalties from Dawkins' book The Blind Watchmaker? How's that, you ask? It appears that his simple algorithm to reproduce the Shakespeare phrase, "Methinks it is like a weasel" plagiarized the presumptions and the mechanics of the "hangman" game that has belonged to fifth-graderdom since the dawn of the alphabet and writing implements. Here's the rub: according to repeated observations, random chance evolution is not permitted to invoke future knowledge and intelligence vested in and acting primally in inanimate material. In three ways Dawkins invoked future knowledge in his algorithm. These are precisely equivalent to the "hangman" game knowledge of (1) an alphabet to use, (2) the length of the string to be reproduced, and (3) "hits" produced by random chance would then be fixed into the growing answer. The amazing thing is that Professor Dawkins would even put forward such an algorithm, all the time knowing "demonstration" of potential evolution was dependent upon future knowledge. Ummm, Richard, did you really think no one would notice? See the illustration following. |
EMPIRICAL LIMITS OF EVOLUTION: Microevolution YES, Macroevolution NO
Have you been wanting to review journal articles claiming evolution but you never had time? Dr. Bart Rask reviewed over 400 scientific references, searched for actual evidence of (macro) evolution and none found, results published in his reviewed book Evolution by Affirming the Consequent. Evolution is not possible since life requires intermolecular fit, e.g. hormones and receptors. Evolution is statistically impossible for example because complementary co-evolution by random chance is impossible. Recent published works have shown the much-claimed chimp-human DNA similarity is not. Microevolution is shown (correctly) in numerous multi-generational studies but macroevolution is claimed (falsely) with assertions from biological diversity in single generation studies. Evolution is not science since science principles are not satisfied in attempts to demonstrate evolution as defined - "descent with modification from a common ancestor". BEWARE !!! Students (and parents of students and church leaders advising students) need to be informed and discerning about protecting students from anti-Biblical teachings even at Christian universities. Many modern
theologians - including at Pepperdine
University in the 2014
Bible Lectures - have resurrected the kenotic heresy, long buried by
Christianity since the 4th century, to prop up theistic evolution. JESUS AS TRUTH
SAYS NO TO BOTH. Here is a 7-minute excerpt from talk by Dr. Vern Bissell at the True Science for Theologians conference in Malibu, May 8, 2015.
BOLDLY PROCLAIM THE TRUTH OF CREATION IN GENESIS, BOLDLY PROCAIM HUMAN DIGNITYAND
VALUE
A Pepperdine University Bible professor in 2014 proclaimed "made in the image of God" is not an attribute of mankind, but a "job description." Dr. Chris Heard further suggested God's motive to create an earthling was to provide someone to till or farm the land. And yet -more, Dr. Heard said God was showing concern in Genesis 2 and 3 for keeping humanity and divinity distant - separate - distinct. Pepperdine 1967 alum Dr. Vern Bissell rebuts, affirming that "made in the image of God" is more - much more. 15 minutes, Aug 10, 2015. |
